O.k. I needed a set of speakers for my car to replace the stock ones. If you are looking to be heard while driving down the street, Do not get these speakers. If you want an affordable set of speakers that have a decent sound then these are them. Yes these are made by Kicker but these are their bottom line speakers..I like them for the price and they do have a better sound then my stock speakers. They have a rating of 50 watts rms and a 100 watts peak. I really dont think they would handle that much power. I am running an aftermarket radio and I think that is more then enough power to them

I'm a car audio/music fanatic. I've heard different brands of speakers over the years. These Kickers really can handle some power, and they have a great low-end response as well as bright highs. They're great sounding replacements for your car (keep in mind that you MAY need a slight modification in order to install them; they are slightly bigger than conventional 6.5" speakers.)
I purchased 2 pairs of the 11DS65 speakers for my car (these were the 3rd pair of replacements for this car.) The rear location was a drop-in fit; the front doors required replacing the speaker ring/baffle that came with the car, as these are not a direct replacement for my car's doors. All said, about 10-15 minutes worth of work molding and fitting a new set of rings out of mdf.
Before buying them through Amazon, I did compare the sound quality of these Kickers with much more expensive coaxial speakers at a local retailer. I compared them with different types of music at different levels. No comparison. These sounded better hands down....and the price made them that much more appealing.
If you're going with 2 way separates, that's one thing-but if you're looking for a coaxial speaker upgrade, this is the way to go. Inexpensive, great-sounding, sturdy!

I bought 2 sets of these for my truck and a speaker box build I was doing. These speakers produce good sound as replacement speakers. Nice and loud too. If your looking for speakers that produce a major ammount of bass than these are not what your looking for. Though they do create some bass without an AMP and a tad more bass with an AMP i recommend buying a separate subwoffer with these. My second set of speakers had an issue with the tweeter cutting in and out so i ended up sending them back. They were good with the return and gave me my money back.
