I guess Angela Washburn's laziness is somehow Alpine's fault? Waited over a year to attempt to return something bought off Amazon to the mfg? Next thing you know people like this will be spilling hot coffee on themselves attempting to get rich, while blaming others for their error.
Now about the speakers - A real review.
When I run the Alpine SPS-610's on Tektronix TDS1001B O-scope for frequency response, and signal waveforms at various power, I saw some of the most fluid transitions, the least amount of clipping, and or signal to noise ratio. They run pretty close to specs, but your tests may vary. My scope only provides a limited ability in this area, but it is an apples to apple comparison against a set of Kenwood's and Pioneer of the same price range. I'm not attempting to sell Alpine, nor am I attempting to bash the completion, just wanting to point out the quality I have noticed both from my personal audio bias (what I still hear at 51), and what I see on the scope. I am satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend them to anyone also looking in the $60-$100 range. Amazon is $30 less per pair than BestBuy, so this is a great deal.

These speakers sound amazing. I would recommend them for anyone, whether they're looking to improve the sound in their car with a new pair of front speakers or installing a full car audio system.
These speakers are plenty powerful. My deck barely supplies half of the power that these speakers are able to receive. You would need a dedicated amplifier to see their full potential.
They also come with everything you need. The hardware makes it easy to mount and the provided wires clip right on to the terminals making a semi-permanent connection; secure, but easily swappable.
Alpine makes a top-of-the-line product.

I expected an open box or display item. The speakers were still sealed in their original plastic.
As for the speakers they look and sound incredible.
For the pricepoint even if you get these new and pay full price they are so much for the money.
I have owned many different brands and classes of speakers throughout the years and the alpine type s is my top choice for interior speakers.
I add to this that no system is complete and can cover the full range you need without bass so if youre expecting base youre not going to get a tom from these. But if there is a sweep through to low bass and you have this coupled with the appropriate sub set up it's simply amazing.
